Studierende, die eine inhaltlich zur Konferenzthematik passende Hausarbeit oder Abschlussarbeit bereits geschrieben haben oder gerade daran schreiben, können diese im Rahmen der Konferenz in Form eines Vortrags (max. 20 Min., gerne auch als joint talk, z.B. im Falle von Gruppenreferaten) vorstellen. are you interested in the European Union? Want to learn more about the legislation in Brussels? Want to get in touch with other international students? Model European Union Mainz is the answer!

Apply for Model European Union Mainz 2018 until June 6th and be part in one of the oldest simulations of the European legislation! Applications and further information:  http://meum.aegee-mainz.de/

There are three different roles available to you. You can be a Member of the European Parliament, a Minister in the Council of the European Union, or a Journalist. If you do not need accommodation because you are already in Mainz, the participation fee will only be 20 Euros. It will cover the expenses the organization team has for lunch, coffee breaks, social program, and the simulation itself.

CRiSS – Contemporary Research in Social Science

Members of the Faculty 02: Social Sciences, Media and Sports present their current research projects and provide insight into their research activities.

A great variety of topics are covered in summer term 2018, including conspiracy beliefs and terrorist attacks, MOOCs, Burn-out, procrastination, youths and sport, human performance in outer space and under water, EU-Africa relations, European freedom of movement, unconventional political preferences, and more.

Everybody’s welcome!

The lectures are held in English to also enable an international exchange - with international students as well as visiting researchers.

Esxpecially for exchange students, Faculty 02 offers an interdisciplinary seminar covering a wide range of topics related to German society, politics, media and culture. The seminar will be accompanied by a tutorial introducing students from abroad to the techniques of academic work within the German university context.

Criss Poster 2017New Interdisciplinary Lecture Series: CRiSS – Contemporary Research in Social Science

Members of the Faculty 02: Social Sciences, Media and Sports present their current research projects and provide insight into their research activities. Ein Sprachtandem bietet die Möglichkeit, bereits vorhandene Fremdsprachenkenntnisse zu vertiefen und im direkten Kontakt mit Muttersprachlern die eigene fremdsprachliche und interkulturelle Kompetenz zu erweitern.

Wenn Sie

  • Ihre Deutschkenntnisse oder Ihre Fremdsprachenkenntnisse im Kontakt mit Muttersprachlern verbessern möchten und bereits über Fremdsprachenkenntnisse auf dem Niveau B1 verfügen,
  • mehr über die Kultur und die Menschen im anderen Land erfahren möchten,
  • zeitlich flexibel und selbstbestimmt zu zweit lernen möchten,
  • Tipps zum Sprachenlernen und zum Lernen im Tandem erhalten und ausprobieren wollen,
