Ausländische Studierende der JGU, welche ihre Hochschulzugangsberechtigung im Ausland erworben haben (Bildungsausländer) und kurz vor dem Abschluss ihres Studiums stehen, können sich ab sofort für ein Studienabschluss-Stipendium aus Mitteln der Landesstipendienstiftung des Landes Rheinland-Pfalz bewerben.

Invitation for Applications for Scholarships to Finalize a Degree

Foreign students at the JGU who have obtained their certificate for admission to higher education not in Germany and who are about to finish their studies are invited to apply for scholarships for degree-finalization financed by the Scholarship Foundation of the Rhineland-Palatinate.

2nd International Students’ Conference: THE APPEAL OF MANIPULATION (Nov. 8-9, 2019)

Dear students,

On November 8th and 9th, the 2nd International Students’ Conference will take place here at JGU Mainz.

Student speakers from Germany and abroad will address the topic of manipulation. In addition to 18 interesting lectures, a concert lecture and a World-Café were organized.

CRiSS – Contemporary Research in Social Science

Members of the Faculty 02: Social Sciences, Media and Sports present their current research projects and provide insight into their research activities.

A great variety of topics are covered in summer term 2018, including conspiracy beliefs and terrorist attacks, MOOCs, Burn-out, procrastination, youths and sport, human performance in outer space and under water, EU-Africa relations, European freedom of movement, unconventional political preferences, and more.

Everybody’s welcome!

The lectures are held in English to also enable an international exchange - with international students as well as visiting researchers.

Criss Poster 2017New Interdisciplinary Lecture Series: CRiSS – Contemporary Research in Social Science

Members of the Faculty 02: Social Sciences, Media and Sports present their current research projects and provide insight into their research activities. A great variety of topics will be covered in summer term 2017, including twitter, fake news, corruption in soccer, refugees, modern doping, right-wing populism, pornography on the internet, stress at work, and more:

The lectures are held in English. International students can achieve a total of 4 ECTS by submitting extra course work.
